Join the Society of American Archivists' Acquisitions & Appraisal Section and the Society of Southwest Archivists for a collaborative Third Thursday Chat about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Thursday March 18 at 1pm PST, 2pm MST, 3pm CST, 4pm EST. We will meet for an hour discussing DEI topics in relation to acquisitions and appraisal in practice in our daily work and organizations. We will break out into small groups and discuss your choice of the following prompts:

1.      Are you or your organization doing any DEI projects?

2.      What standards or best practices are you using? What was the process of incorporating these into your workflow like?

3.      Does your unit’s work/policies in DEI reflect or differ from your larger institution’s?

4.      What challenges or opportunities have you encountered in this work? 

5.      Are you planning on conducting a Diversity Audit of your collections?
