Summary of Job Duties:
Under the supervision of the Collections Management and Processing Unit Head, the International Education Project Archivist is responsible for processing the Institute of International Education (IIE) Records by arranging and describing the collection in accordance with professional archival standards and best practices. The collection includes extensive physical and digital materials documenting the activities of the Fulbright Program and its participants. This project includes developing a comprehensive processing plan for the collection; determining and applying restrictions needed to comply with applicable regulations; creating a finding aid in ArchivesSpace; engaging in digital preservation activities; identifying materials for a future digitization project; and maintaining data for grant progress reports and other statistical reporting. This position may also assist in the accessioning of accruals to the IIE Records. The Project Archivist contributes to the work of the Special Collections Division and will serve as a member of the Processing Team, engaging in team projects and professional development activities. This position will supervise student assistants.
Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in library science, information studies, history, or related field with a specialization or significant coursework in archives

Archival processing experience
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with an archival content management system, such as ArchivesSpace

Experience with digital preservation tools and/or systems

Experience processing born-digital materials

Experience supervising and/or training employees
Salary: Minimum $52,000, commensurate with education and experience
