ASU Library seeks a highly motivated, knowledgeable, and service-oriented digital preservation  professional to lead the digital preservation and curation program for the library collections held by ASU.  This includes working closely with Library administration, departments/units as well as University constituents to plan, develop, implement, and communicate digital preservation and curation policies, strategies, workflows, processes, and practices to ensure the long-term viability of digital assets under the Library’s stewardship. This position helps to develop partnerships, programs, and capabilities to better position the Library, ASU, and the state of Arizona with regard to exemplary digital preservation and curation processes.

Qualifications

Required

•         MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited program or equivalent advanced degree with Certified Archivist standing
•         Minimum three years experience with digital preservation lifecycle planning and implementation in a library, archives, historical society, or museum setting
•         Demonstrated knowledge of digital asset lifecycle management

Preferred

•         Demonstrated experience with project management
•         Working knowledge of digital asset management systems and archival systems and tool sets
•         Experience with digital forensic tools and processes
•         Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary and Rank:  This is a year to year Academic Professional position, Assistant/Associate, depending  on experience.
