Cristina has kindly drafted the attached “before” and “after” sitemaps to illustrate the proposed revisions. We welcome your feedback and suggestions.
2. Streamlining Communication & Responsiveness
As part of our efforts to improve communication and responsiveness to user requests, we are proposing two related updates:
3. Contacts Drop-Down
We propose adding a “Contact Us” drop-down (in addition to the existing “Contact SSA” link) to provide clearer pathways for membership inquiries, posting requests, mailing address information, and related questions.
This addition is intended to make it easier for users to identify the appropriate contact point and reduce delays in responding to inquiries.
4. Linked Forms for Job & Social Media Posting Requests
Both job postings and social media posting requests would be accessible under a new drop-down titled “Posting & Promotion Requests,” replacing the current “Job Announcements.”
Rationale:
This title is concise and signals process and submission, rather than limiting the category to a single content type.
In addition, we would include the following language to clarify submission requirements:
“To streamline our workflow, requestors must complete the appropriate submission form corresponding to their request (job posting or social media). Requests cannot be reviewed or advertised without a completed form.”
