Each year, the Texas Digital Library (TDL) Awards honor individuals and groups that have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of digital libraries. The Graduate Student Excellence Award honors an individual graduate student that demonstrates overall excellence and contributions to digital library practice.

Recognize the Connectors
The Texas Digital Library Innovative Outreach Award will honor an individual or team that demonstrates a creative and successful approach to reaching new users and building awareness of an organization’s digital library.

Leaders All Around Us
The Texas Digital Library Leadership in Digital Libraries Award will honor an individual who has made significant contributions and improvements related to digital libraries. Nominees should lead from every corner of the library, beyond the traditional confines of managerial roles. Anyone who contributes to digital libraries is eligible to be a Leader.

ScholComm Heroes
The Scholarly Communications and Excellence in Open Access Award will honor the work of an individual or group of academics, including faculty and librarians, who have made significant advances in our understanding of the issues surrounding scholarly communications and/or in developing innovative content for dissemination through digital scholarly platforms such as institutional repositories, electronic theses and dissertations, or online open access journals.

The Name Says It All
Many libraries do not have full-time staff dedicated to digital projects but find creative ways to develop a digital presence. The Texas Digital Library Trailblazer Award will honor the work of an individual or group within a Texas academic library who has used limited resources in innovative ways to create, maintain or support digital collections.

TDL Awards Announced at TCDL
Winners are selected by the TDL Awards Committee and are notified in early spring. Award recipients receive one complimentary registration per group/awardee for the Texas Conference on Digital Libraries in Austin, and are honored during a special awards session at the conference.
