[please respond directly to Erica at eburke@sals.edu]

I am an archivist in New York State. I am working on a grant application to fund a project establishing the Alumni Collections at an independent secondary school in AZ (of which I am an alumna). I would be the consultant for this project, working with students, faculty, and alumni both at the school and long distance from here.
I have not worked as a consultant before and don't know what pay scale would be considered appropriate. Can you help?

Take your current salary and divide it by 2080 (number of work hours per year plus vacation). once you've done that add 30% to that number to account for benefits. You should also include travel, food and housing costs into your grant proposal.
