    JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

    Digital collections management

    Manage digital records at all stages of the record-life cycle. Digitize materials and establish efficient workflows for organizing and maintaining digital collections. Upload digital content to an institutional repository. Implement strategies for the long-term preservation and integrity of digital assets.

    Access management

    Create comprehensive finding aids and assign metadata to digitized materials. Maintain a centralized and accessible database of archival collections and digital content. Ensure access rights and permissions are in place for digital materials, safeguarding sensitive information.

    Reference and research assistance

    Retrieve and deliver archival materials for users ensuring an efficient service. Provide general and in-depth reference and research assistance for clients who seek historical, clinical, medical, or scientific knowledge. Develop and maintain research guides. Other duties as assigned.

    Preferred Experience: Archive or preservation specialization, or 1-2 years working in archives or medical library.

    Education
    Required: Master's degree in Library Information Science from a program accredited by the American Library Association.
