Paid internship opportunity in archives at the Museum of Northern Arizona (MNA) for current or recent graduate students!

Candidates will gain professional museum experience while working in a region surrounded by remarkable landscapes and Native American cultures. Accredited by AAM, MNA is located in Flagstaff, AZ – a mountain town with lovely summer weather, numerous hiking trails, and close proximity to the Grand Canyon and many other national parks and monuments. Flagstaff is home to Lowell Observatory (where Pluto was first discovered) and a gorgeous Arboretum. Summer Internships coincide with MNA's internationally recognized Native American Heritage Festivals which introduce visitors to the culture and artistry of the Navajo, Hopi, and Zuni peoples.

The archives internship will focus on tasks and procedural development relating to the organization, documentation, and preservation of Museum of Northern Arizona institutional records and all media contained. This internship will provide experience working with records created by a unique natural science, cultural, and fine arts organization focused on research, education, and exhibitions.

Internship information is posted on MNA's website at http://musnaz.org/about/careers/. Housing and a $12.50 per hour salary (29 hours per week) are provided for a minimum of 10 weeks between May 1st and September 30th 2019. To apply email a cover letter, resume, and 3 letters of recommendation as either MS Word or PDF to jthomas@musnaz.org. Application review begins April 15, 2019.
