With the deadline for submissions in just two weeks time, now is the time for you to think about how you can add your own perspectives on the ICA-SUV's 2018 Annual Conference (a joint meeting with the Conference on Spanish University Archivists (CAU)).

The conference theme focuses on a problem that has long been of concern to archivists in all institutions but which has greater urgency in the digital era when we can make our holdings available widely. The early submissions promise to look at innovative ways for university and research archives to explain the values they provide to their institutions as a way to strenghten institutional identity and also explore the connection between archives and digital humanities.

Yet, the Call for Proposals suggests many additional ways to explore the core theme of how archives can improve their position by a better understanding of the values they contribute to their universities.

So, think about how you can contribute to the dialogue at the next October's conference in Salamanca, Spain with its theme of "What Value do Historical Records in University Archives Add to Universities?"

But do not wait too long.  The submission deadline for proposals is 21 February.
