Job Summary

Archives Practicum Student for the research resources department at The Menil Collection. Gain practical experience in archival organization, metadata creation, digital preservation, and access services. Part-time, termed fifteen weeks, Onsite. Flexible on start and end dates so long as it does not exceed 120 hours total. Application open until the position is filled.

Job Duties

• Follow the established digital preservation workflow, conducting digital preservation tasks that follow the OAIS model
• Contribute to digital development initiatives through various tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an ALA-accredited Library and Information Services (LIS) graduate program
• General knowledge of library/archives systems, especially digital preservation

Salary Range:  $17.00 per hour worked, not to exceed 120 hours. Earnings will be subject to all applicable payroll taxes.
