Job Title: Archives Specialist A or B or C

Location: Baton Rouge
Salary: $2,694.00 - $5,304.00 Monthly

Records Analysts:
- Meet with state agency representatives to assist them in developing and managing their records in an efficient and economical manner.
- Assist agencies with the development of their records retention schedules and electronic records surveys.
- Receive and review disposal requests from agencies to determine if records have met retention and are eligible for destruction.
- Conduct and teach training conferences for agencies statewide on records management and retention practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in library science, archival administration, public administration, history, or information technology, or juris doctor.
- Three years professional experience managing records analog and digital content.
- Certified Records Manager or related certification.
- Working knowledge of Louisiana State governmental organizational structures, operations, and functions.
- Experience in the application of automated information management systems to library, archival, records management, or business problems.
- Experience in developing policies and procedures for a records program including workflows for both preservation and proper disposal.
- Demonstrates a commitment to learning and working with emerging technologies and best practices.
- Familiarity with government records.
