I am looking for other participants for an idea for a session or a panel discussion about archivists and their representation in the media for the 2014 SSA conference. I was hoping to describe my experience being interviewed for a recent article. The reporter who interviewed me was somewhat able to understand the work of an archivist yet the article did not really reflect what we do.
Perhaps this talk could be part of a panel relating to the broader issue of archives and advocacy and/or outreach? It could also be about educating people about archives using traditional or social media.
