SSA started the National Disaster Recovery Fund with SAA in 2005, now administered by SAA, and we received the SAA Distinguished Service Award in 2018 for that work.

Due to recent flooding in the Midwest and last year's hurricanes, the Fund is currently in drastic need of being replenished.

SSA archival institutions have also been frequent recipients of these funds since 2005, due to our location on the coast, in tornado alley and frequent river flooding in the region.

I hope you will consider donating to the fund on MayDay, May 1st, 2019.

After logging into the new SAA website, you will need to go to this "Donate Now!" page, and pick the National Disaster Recovery Fund button.
