Online Exhibitions with WordPress: A Case Study From the University of Delaware
SAA Events and Exhibits (E2) Virtual Session Series
    Friday, February 26 - 11:00 a.m. - noon EST

SAA's Exhibits and Events Standing Committee (E2) serves as a nexus for learning, innovation, and collaboration for archives-centered exhibits and events. Learn more about E2. From December 2020 through June 2021, E2 plans a series of skill-sharing sessions and foundational discussions of issues key to the exhibits and event planning communities in archives and libraries. These sessions will be recorded and shared with E2 members. We are now accepting registration for our second virtual session:

Join Dustin Frohlich, Processing Archivist with University of Delaware Library, Museums and Press to learn more about their project to migrate more than 200 legacy exhibitions and create new exhibitions using WordPress. This session will review how WordPress was evaluated and developed in collaboration between UD Library IT and Special Collections & Museums; the process to migrate legacy sites with the help of student assistants and automation tools; ongoing efforts to create documentation, provide training, and evaluate the platform; and how they work with guest curators and support undergraduate student projects with their online exhibitions program. View their online exhibitions: https://exhibitions.lib.udel.edu/

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED; session details, including Zoom links and passwords, will be shared with registered attendees the day before the session: forms.gle/4YrqMnA6WGu1KvRi8
