Join Genna Duplisea, MA, MLIS, a founding member of Archivists Responding to Climate Change (Project ARCC), on August 7th at 5 pm as she discusses the impact of climate change on archives and museums. Climate change not only affects the work of documenting human experience but also physically threatens cultural heritage collections through extreme weather events. Additionally, the work in archives and museums has a carbon footprint, contributing to climate change. In this webinar, Genna will provide an overview of the challenges of memory work in uncertain times and the efforts made by archivists and other professionals to continue preserving collections through climate chaos. You'll gain valuable insights into strategies and best practices for mitigating the impact of climate change on archives and museums, ensuring that cultural heritage remains safe and accessible for future generations.
