The Texas Historical Records Advisory Board (THRAB) is offering two free workshops on encoding archival finding aids. Introduction to TARO: Encoding and Submitting Finding Aids will assist anyone learning how to encode archival finding aids using the Encoded Archival Description (EAD) standard in XML, with a focus on guidelines and logistics for Texas Archival Resources Online (TARO). TARO is a consortium providing a platform for searching the collections of participating Texas archives, libraries, museums, governments, and other entities holding historical records.
