There are seats still available for the Digital POWRR Workshop, “From Theory to Action:  A Pragmatic Approach to Digital Preservation Strategies and Tools,” which will be held Thursday, July 7th, 2016, at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX.

The POWRR (Preserving digital Objects With Restricted Resources) is a full-day, hands-on workshop, designed specifically for front-line practitioners who routinely complete collections processing work.  If you understand the need for digital preservation, and are now seeking to build daily workflows that incorporate accessioning digital materials, processing them, and planning for their long-term preservation, this workshop is for you.  Please note that this is not a workshop on how to digitize materials.  Registration for the workshop is free, but space is limited to 30, and participants will need to cover any travel expenses.

To register for the Thursday, July 7, 2016 POWRR workshop: http://digitalpowrr07072016.eventzilla.net

Please contact powrr@niu.edu with any questions.

This workshop is made possible in part by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities: Exploring the human endeavor. The workshop is co-sponsored by the Texas Digital Library, ACRL Digital Curation Interest Group, and Trinity University.
