    The LSU School of Library & Information Science - SLIS - invites you to join us Saturday, November 14, from 1:00-2:30 pm CT for the our next webinar in the Professional Development Series.

     

    Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of copyright law, learning where copyright law comes from, how copyright law has evolved, what purpose copyrights serve, how copyrights are enforced, and the differences between copyrights and trademarks, with particular emphasis on statutes, case law, and enforcement strategies relevant to analog works such as printed materials and artistic and sculptural works, as well as the challenges related to protecting artistic works that also serve a functional purpose.
