Come join one of the most dynamic and largest archives in the Federal Government, the National Security Research Center (NSRC). The NSRC is Los Alamos National Laboratory’s classified library, containing tens of millions of documents, films, books, and other archival material related to the development, testing and production of nuclear weapons, dating back to the first days of the Manhattan Project. The NSRC’s collections contain a breadth of classified technical information related to physics, chemistry, engineering, material science, intelligence, and national security. The NSRC’s holdings also include the hand-written notebooks of over a dozen Nobel Prize winning scientists who worked at the Lab.

We are looking for an early-career Archivist who can help us provide reference services and/or process our materials. You must be detailed-oriented and have an intellectual curiosity to learn about the nature of our scientific/engineering collections. This position requires a strong commitment to security, safety, and providing high quality service to our scientists and engineers.

    The salary range is $58,000 - $90,800.
