    The University of North Texas Special Collections seeks a full-time Processing Archivist.

    The Processing Archivist will process and create descriptive tools to facilitate preservation and access to archival materials held by the UNT Special Collections Department. They will work primarily at the Library Annex, located a short distance from the UNT Denton campus.. Under the supervision of the Archive Processing Coordinator the Processing Archivist will perform work on a variety of collections, including archives, manuscripts, photography and other types of unique materials. Work performed will include archival appraisal, arrangement and description of collections, preparation of collections for storage, and identification of preservation issues within collections.

    Minimum qualifications are an Associate’s Degree and one year of progressively responsible full-time library experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

    Starting salary is $27,000 per year.
