    The University of Texas at Arlington Libraries Special Collections is pleased to announce an opening for Public Services Librarian/Archivist. This position provides reference and research assistance, coordinates activities supporting public service, and serves as the primary point of contact between Special Collections and the various communities of library users and potential users regardless of their location. The Librarian/Archivist manages the operations of the Special Collections public service area and provides advanced and expert information services and instruction in the use of information resources; participates in the planning and execution of outreach activities and bibliographic instruction; coordinates student employees; and serves as a dual liaison to designated academic disciplines on campus.

    The salary range for this position is $48,000-$53,000.

    The UTA Libraries Special Collections collects and provides access to historical research materials in all formats relating to Texas; the U.S. War with Mexico, 1846-1848; the political history of Mexico, 1810-1920; and the cartographic history of Texas, the Southwest borderlands, Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean and West Africa.
