    JOB OVERVIEW

    The AAPB is seeking up to five (5) interns to work on the New Mexico Public Media Digitization Project. This innovative statewide digitization project is digitizing, preserving, and making available to the public via the AAPB the video and audiotape archives of public television stations New Mexico PBS (KNME) in Albuquerque, KANW Portale,s and KRWG Las Cruces, and radio stations KUNM and KANW of Albuquerque. Interns will report to the Archives' Associate Director.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Under the guidance and mentorship of AAPB staff and partners at New Mexico PBS, interns will review digitized programs, proof program information, and input metadata for digitized archived NMPM programs. Interns may also correct speech-to-text transcripts of the digitized content in FIX IT+.

    SKILLSET

    • Research and writing skills
    • Computer skills
    • Good communication, organization, and time management skills
    • Interest in New Mexico and Southwestern history and culture preferred
    • Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required

    JOB-STATUS

    Paid Internship $15/hour (Part-time )

    INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

    GBH internships provide students with valuable work experience and real-world knowledge across many different fields of study, from TV and radio production to web design, accounting, law, and other administrative areas.

    SPRING 2022 INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

    • Spring Virtual Internship dates: January 24th - April 22nd
    • You must have cover letters for each internship that you are applying to.
    • Candidates must have their own computer and access to Wifi.
    • Candidates must be in an Undergrad or Grad program and have work authorization for the United States.
