    About the position:

    The Georgia Tech Library seeks a collegial, innovative archivist to engage in the accessioning of born-digital collections. They will demonstrate a commitment to building and sustaining an equitable and inclusive work environment where diversity is celebrated and valued. The Archivist will report to the Digital Collections Archivist within the Archives, Records Management, and Digital Curation department.

    The Georgia Tech Library is a member of the University System of Georgia library consortia, Association of Research Libraries, Association of Southeastern Research Libraries, BitCurator Consortium, Software Preservation Network, and Digital Preservation Coalition. The Library is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and has a deeply engaged Library Diversity Council to lead our efforts to ensure and maintain a positive, diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment where everyone can thrive.

    Faculty Status

    The position will be appointed as a member of the Academic Faculty of the library, is non-tenure track, and is required to go through the review and promotion process for librarians and archivists. Library faculty have an effort distribution of 80% excellence in assigned duties, 10% scholarship, and 10% professional service to the library profession or the Institute. The archivist in this position must actively participate in professional and scholarly activities, including institute and professional committees, research, and publication. This is a full-time faculty appointment. Salary and rank are commensurate with credentials and experience. Minimum starting salary is $60,000 annually.

    The Georgia Tech Library Faculty enjoy flexible work schedules, teleworking, professional development, and a healthy work-life balance. Teleworking up to 2 days a week is permissible following an orientation period.
