    Describe, preserve, and make accessible recently accessioned photographic archival collections according to archival standards.

    General Notes

    This is a fixed term position to begin no earlier than 2/21/22. Length of employment will be 19 months from date of hire with a possibility of extension contingent on additional funding.

    Responsibilities

    • Describe, preserve, and make accessible recently accessioned photographic archival collections according to archival standards and the needs of the Center.
    • Participate in other Briscoe Center projects as needed, including ArchivesSpace, the Briscoe Center wiki, finding aid review, and offsite collection management.
    • Collaborate with digitization, digital archives, and exhibits.
    • Provide photo archives and general reference services to patrons of the Briscoe as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications

    Master’s degree in Information Science, Information Studies, or Masters in History with a concentration in archival enterprise. A minimum of two years of archival experience with processing collections, creating finding aids, and producing other collection management tools and working with digital material in an archival setting. Experience with MARC and EAD computer formats. Familiarity with metadata standards relevant to archival collections
