The Archivist for Special Collections and University Archives provides managerial and curatorial oversight of the University Archives, with particular emphasis on the following activities: assuring intellectual control and access, collection development, the provision of research services, and collection preservation. The Archivist is responsible for carrying out the processing of archival collections, including the creation and updating of the Archives Processing Manual. The Archivist supervises student employees and graduate and undergraduate student interns. The Archivist also provides classroom instruction, in which archives materials are used to promote primary source literacy. This position, which enjoys faculty status, supports the University’s mission and strategic plan of promoting academic excellence and Christian values by providing access to primary source research collections, offering primary source information literacy training to students, and developing archival collections that reflect the university’s heritage.
Expected Pay Range: $64,480 - $70,000 per year
