The Austin History Center, Austin Public Library is accepting applications for its Latinx Community Archivist position, which will be filled at an Archivist I or II level, depending on qualifications. The position provides customer service (reference and research assistance) to greater Austin community as well as to the city’s Latinx community, a historically underrepresented population within the city; acquires and processes historical, archival material related to Latinx community; and develops and implements outreach activities (talks, tours, events) targeted at Austin’s Latinx Community in order to create awareness of the AHC’s mission and to collect historical documentation related to the local Latinx community.
