    The Harold B. Lee Library at Brigham Young University is seeking a Central Processing Unit Supervisor. This position oversees the physical processing of manuscript collections, the creation of appropriate access tools (including finding aids and catalog records), departmental standards compliance, and training related to manuscripts processing. This position also ensures that manuscript collections are prepared for digitization (when appropriate) and provides guidance in identifying and soliciting funds, including grant proposal writing, as appropriate and helps to manage any acquired funding.

    Specific job responsibilities include:

    • Oversee physical processing of manuscript collections
    • Train and manage student processors
    • Contribute to department conservation/preservation initiatives
    • Assist curators and catalogers in building, organizing, and describing collections

    Approximate Starting Salary: $38,942 to $50,575 depending on experience and qualifications.
