Bridwell Fellowships (stipended research visits) - SMU, Dallas

    Each year Bridwell Library of the Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University offers fellowships promoting independent study via on-site access to the library's rich collection of resources with subject area strengths in Christian thought and theology, Biblical studies, church history, book history, and Methodist studies.


    For those who are familiar with the Bridwell Library Fellowship program, please note that the terms of our fellowships have changed somewhat in the past year. Please see webpage Bridwell Fellowships - SMU (www.smu.edu/Bridwell/About/ResearchStudy/BridwellFellowships) for complete details on eligibility, terms, and application guidelines,

    • Bridwell Library Visiting Scholar's Fellowships promote and facilitate scholarship requiring use of the library's rare books, manuscripts, or archives collections;
    • Bridwell Library Center for Methodist Studies Fellowships promote and facilitate scholarship in the Wesleyan traditions;
    • The Bridwell Library Visiting Minister's Fellowship promotes and facilitates reflective study for active clergy persons.
    To be considered, all application materials must be at Bridwell Library by Monday, April 1, 2019.  Awards will be announced by Monday, April 22, 2019.
