Archival repositories throughout Texas have records that document the paths of rivers, rights to access, water for irrigation, recreation, and as an energy source. We also know the threats and damage water can pose to our communities and even our historical treasures. The Texas Historical Records Advisory Board (THRAB) invites your photos and stories to help illustrate “The Power of Water” for the 2019 Texas Archives Month Poster.

How has the power of water influenced the subject-matter in your collections?  Has water caused a disaster in your stacks?

THRAB will work with a design team to select the final image or images that address the theme. The Texas Archives Month Poster went digital in 2018 and the 2019 version will also be presented electronically on our website here: https://www.tsl.texas.gov/arc/thrab/archivesmonth.html with instruction for download and printing.

Please submit images to THRAB at thrab@tsl.texas.gov for potential use in the 2019 Texas Archives Month Poster by June 3, 2019. We will need a 600 dpi version of the image for printing and please ensure that you have copyright clearance for this purpose.
